Chinese
Herbal Medicine
There are over 300 commonly used herbs such as barks, seeds, leaves, flowers,
roots, and minerals. Each herb has its specific characteristic in nourishing
the human body. By understanding this, preparations of up to 15 herbs
are uniquely prescribed according to each individual patient’s condition.
Homoeopathic Remedy
Dr Samuel Hahnemann developed homoeopathy over 200 years ago. It is based
on the theory of like treating like, and the use of infinitesimally small
doses. The idea is that a substance that can cause certain symptoms will
also cure those symptoms, when administered in an extremely diluted form.
Acupuncture (Free)
Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles at precise locations called
Acupuncture Points, which are situated along the energy channels known
as meridians, to stimulate and clear the stagnation of Qi (energy) to
re-establish the balance of the organs.
Auricular Therapy (Free)
Auricular Therapy may be defined as a branch of acupuncture, which makes
use of the external ear to diagnose and treat illness. Every part of the
body has functional representation on the ear, and the locations of these
points have been charted with a great deal of accuracy.
Laser Therapy (Free)
A new method of acupuncture therapy using a laser beam instead of a needle
to stimulate the acupuncture points. Also used for treating skin diseases,
Laser therapy will rapidly increase the rate at which the skin surface
heals.
Homoeopuncture (Free)
The puncturing with acupuncture points after dipping the needle in a specific
homoeopathy remedy.
Moxibustion (Free)
A method of Traditional Chinese Medicine where disease is treated by direct
or indirect heating of the acupuncture points by burning “Moxa”,
which is made from the dried leaves of the plant Artemisia Vulgaris. “Mogussa”
(pronounced “Moxa”) is the Japanese name of this plant, which
means, “burning herb”.
Cupping (Free)
A technique of Traditional Chinese Medicine where suction is applied to
diseased parts of the body using ceramic, glass, or bamboo cups in order
to increase the regional circulation, and thereby promote healing
